3 Tips for Managing Stress

In a modern world, stress is common, but you don't have to be weighed down by it. Here are three tips for managing stress:
Address the stressor: If possible, address the “thing” causing the stress. Remove it or decrease it if you can. If not, sometimes addressing the stressor means accepting it. Accepting that this stressful event or thing is not under your control and focusing your attention on what you are able to manage.
Changing your mindset: Our thoughts are powerful. Changing the way you look or think about the stressor may help when you’re not able to actually rid yourself of the stressor. How we think about a situation often changes how we feel about it and ultimately changes its impact on us.
Healthy habits: Creating a life that is centered, peaceful, harmonious, and joyous can help when stressors inevitably come our way. Healthy eating, regular exercise, physical activity, and movements therapies (e.g., yoga), meditation, spiritual practices, connection to others, and sleep are all enriching to the mind, body, and spirit.
